State Procurement Portal Directory: Register where you want to work

Direct links to vendor registration for all 50 states, plus major California county and city portals. Register early — approvals can take weeks.

Every state maintains its own vendor registration system, separate from SAM.gov. To be eligible for state agency contracts, you must register in each state where you intend to bid.
Before you register anywhere: You need your EIN, entity registration, and physical business address established first. SAM.gov (federal) should also be active if you intend to pursue federal contracts.

SAM.gov — Register Here First (Federal)

SAM.gov — System for Award Management
Required for all federal contracts. Free. Your UEI (Unique Entity ID) is auto-assigned — it replaced DUNS numbers in 2022. Annual renewal required.
⚠ Requires verified physical address. Home offices usually OK. Processing takes 1–3 weeks.
